Using reed bed purification for the on site treatment of waste water is one way this can be achieved. Major Projects we have worked on include the following:
The habitat enhancement of Rainham Marshes on behalf of The London Wildlife Trust & MouchelParkman to create the largest Water Vole sanctuary in the U.K.
The planting of aquatic vegetation (water lilies) in various ponds on Hampstead Heath for the Corporation of London.
The supply and installation of a custom built display aquarium on behalf of Aurora Lighting, Hatfield, Herts to show case their multi coloured led lights. These were installed around the edge of the aquarium which then had a base of crushed clear glass with bottles of Absolute Vodka added for the finishing touch.
The complete renovation of Netteswell Pond in Harlow, Essex on behalf of Harlow Council. These works included general habitat management, de-silting, removal of concrete banks and replacement with timber angler platforms, improved disabled access to and around the fishery and fish stock manipulation to make the pond into a great local amenity.
The regular maintenance and cleaning of the Water Gardens Ponds in Harlow, Essex on behalf of Edgerly Simpson Howe after the ponds were part of a large regeneration works carried out by builders Wilson Bowden.
The draining down and fish removal from Cheshunt South reservoir on behalf of Thames Water when the reservoir was being decommissioned and filled in.
Various works on behalf of The Environment Agency, Fishing clubs, golf courses, private land owners and commercial customers reinstating river banks and lake edges with native aquatic flora after dredging works have been carried out.
